For the 2025 Tips® From Former Smokers campaign, a powerful CDC initiative aimed at raising awareness about the serious health risks associated with smoking, I translated both the feature article and the participant biographies into Spanish. These biographies tell the personal and impactful stories of former smokers, highlighting the challenges they faced and the consequences of smoking.
The translations were carefully crafted to ensure each story maintained its emotional weight, cultural relevance, and authenticity for Spanish-speaking audiences. By preserving the original tone and intent of the participants’ messages, the content is designed to connect with and inspire a broader, diverse audience, encouraging them to seek help and make informed decisions about their health.
This work supports the CDC’s mission to educate, empower, and reduce smoking-related health risks through relatable and engaging storytelling.
